We all want the best for our pets right? But what happens when things go wrong? Unfortunately, that question was answered in 2007 when something went terribly wrong and countless numbers of cats and dogs became seriously ill and even died. We’ll never really know the actual numbers but it is estimated in the thousands and possibly the tens of thousands!
Most of us do the best we can with what we know, when we know it and so commentary on this video is being withheld. However, education is extremely important and helps us all make wise choices. To make the best choices requires us to know all we can about a topic, especially when it involves the integrity our loved ones health.
* Warning: there are a few short scenes from an animal research lab in this video and the content may otherwise be difficult to watch simply because the massive pet food recalls were such a tragedy. You will need to weigh the need for education with this knowledge in deciding to view the video for yourselves.
Pet Food: A Dog’s Breakfast

Wow are you ever the resourceful one!! I received an email from PetSitUSA back in Feb of 2011 that stated CNBC was going to air this documentary, then the network pulled it without any notice or explanation. I haven’t watched the video yet but DEFINITELY will now!! Annette, TXSM for posting:)) I cannot believe this video has been hiding on YouTube!! Even though I haven’t had the chance to view it, I think it’s really IMPORTANT that you post this on BBL’s website so that EVERY pet owner/parent KNOWS EXACTLY what is going to into their “baby’s” mouth!! Had I only known the truth before it was too late, I NEVER EVER would have fed my beloved dog, Lamby, a “prescription” diet that I was told I had to (for her chronic allergies) + mind you, I could only purchase this POISON at the vet’s office!! Had I known sooner, she would have been fed 100% organic human grade foods that are SAFE for a dog’s consumption. That’s what I did after her staggering prognosis was given to me–RENAL FAILURE AT THE TENDER AGE OF 6!! I gladly prepared these healthy meals at home alongside various supplements, in lieu of harmful medications (+ that’s not withstanding ALL of the tremendous wealth of knowledge + help that YOU bestowed onto me, Annette)…it’s what kept Lamby ALIVE for an additional 2 years and in as much of an “uncompromised” condition as I could feasibly do for her!! DEFINITELY post it on BBL…your friends + your customers will be forever grateful that you did!! XOXO
You did a stellar job with the explanation + especially being sensitive to your readers with that **WARNING** paragraph!! I am so very proud of you, Annette, for having the courage to post this video onto your company’s website…it really speaks in tremendous volume, that you are a person of great integrity
