The inaugural PawcuriousBlogathon for Animal Shelters was a huge success! Dr. V vowed if she reached a certain dollar amount, she would create a calendar of her precious pup Brody. Not only did she reach her goal but k9Cuisine matched donations brining the total to almost $4,500!! A-rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrroooooooooooooooooooooo!

The Words to live by Brody 2010 Calendar is now available and is the gift that keeps on giving!

Proceeds from the calendar sales are going to the Humane Society de Tijuana. A great gift for any animal lover, that also gifts a shelter and their animals in need!

Can you resist this beautiful puppy face?! I know can’t! Every time I look at it I will be reminded there is another furry face in the shelter benefitting too!

Another major player in the success of the Blogathon is Janet Crosby. Also a veterinarian, and an amazing artist, she was extremely generous helping Dr. V behind the scenes. But front and center were these unique and beautiful glass beads she handcrafted especially to donate as event prizes!

After the event, we got to talking some more and before I knew it a box came to my door with something so special in it, I just have to share. A glass bead of my dear Lambchop. Isn’t it beautiful?!!!!!

There are many dog faces to choose from and gorgeous dog bones too. But don’t fret, it’s not “just a doggie thing”. She also handcrafts kitties, fish, roosters and more. An amazing gift for anyone!

A shout out to Su Smith for being so brave as to eat prescription dog food for donations! Wow! Seriously.

Last but far from least, I wanted to mention Romeo the Cat once more because it was “Romeo” that challenged everyone to do something for National Animal Shelter Awareness week and that set all the rest in motion! Thank you for all you do for the furry ones!
